Make the most of your time at Greenwood Gardens by learning about its history, landscape, and horticulture. We offer a variety of guided tours throughout the season, including exclusive tours for members. Each visitor receives a self-guided tour pamphlet and map as they enter. You should plan to allot 75 minutes to fully appreciate the garden on your self-guided tour.
Our friendly and knowledgeable docents lead tours throughout the season. With the garden ever-changing, you are sure to learn something new each time you visit. Subject to availability, we offer a variety of tours exploring various aspects of the garden and the history of the site.
If you are looking to provide a memorable experience for your special group, be sure to schedule a revitalizing tour at Greenwood Gardens, where nature, beauty, and history beckon. This one-hour docent-led guided walking tour for ten or more highlights the history, landscape, and architecture of this 1920s Arts and Crafts-style garden, graced by Italianate garden terraces, stately fountains, winding moss-covered paths, iconic follies, whimsical ornaments, romantic grottoes, majestic allées of London plane and spruce trees, and interactive wildlife at the barnyard. In 2022, Greenwood was voted “New Jersey’s Prettiest Garden” by New Jersey Family magazine.
You and your group are welcome to bring a bag lunch and eat on-site in Adelaide’s, our covered outdoor Pavilion, or to dine at one of the area’s local eateries.
Tours are available Monday – Sunday from May through November.
The fee for Garden Tours is $20 per person. Advance reservations are required.
