Evie McGee Colbert, a passionate advocate for the arts, education, and culture, is a founding member and the current President of the Board of Trustees of Montclair Film, based in Montclair, New Jersey. With her deep commitment to the non-profit sector, Evie has also served as a member of the Boards of Trustees of the International African American Museum in her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, and of Montclair Kimberly Academy. In April of 2020, Ms. Colbert was appointed to NJ Governor Phil Murphy’s Restart and Recovery Commission. Although the Commission has since ended its work, she continues in her efforts as a dedicated champion of New Jersey’s arts and culture sector. Evie is a principal of Spartina Industries, a production company with a “first-look deal” with CBS Studios, where she has produced a variety of critically acclaimed shows. Most recently, with her husband Stephen Colbert, Evie co-authored the cookbook, Does This Taste Funny?, which debuted at #3 on The New York Times Bestseller List. Greenwood is thrilled that Evie will be sharing her insights into the creation of this very personal and entertaining contribution to the culinary arts at The Garden Luncheon.
