Greenwood Gardens was founded to serve as a sanctuary for the entire community, one offering peace, tranquility and a means of connecting deeply with nature. At times like these, we recognize the challenge of maintaining public accessibility and connection to you, our members, donors, volunteers, and visitors alike. To help us continue to foster that connection, which is at the heart of our mission, we extend a hearty invitation to submit your family-friendly photos featuring how you are integrating nature into your daily life. In turn, we’ll share them with Greenwood’s online community for the benefit of all. We look forward to seeing your photos! Please see instructions below.
Having already been closed for major renovations, Greenwood is now following public directives to play an even greater role in stemming the spread of the Coronavirus by closing to staff on a week to week basis until we can return. Many of us continue our work off-site as our ongoing renovations proceed.
So that you can stay abreast of Greenwood’s changing landscape, we offer this recent drone footage of the ongoing construction in the garden’s Main Axis, where work crews have already completed the renovation of the D-shaped pool, the Croquet Lawn staircase, and have now moved on to forming the staircase leading to the Garden of the Goods. It has been an exciting process to watch unfold!
On the programming front, we have cancelled the remainder of our March programs and much of April’s. While we regret this, it’s imperative that we reduce our proximity to one another as health officials have outlined. Once we know it is safe to gather again, we will continue with our regularly scheduled program offerings.
How to Share Your Photos:
- If you are on Instagram, please add the tag @greenwoodgardensnj to the comment accompanying your photos of enjoying nature.
- Or, send your photo via email to Vicki Johnson, our Communications & Marketing Associate at email@example.com.
Vicki, in turn, will share/post as many of your photos as possible to Greenwood’s Instagram feed and Facebook page.
Along with the entire staff and trustees of Greenwood Gardens, I wish you and your family safe going, as well as the capacity to find ways to connect with the healing powers of the natural world.
